Last Friday (30.03.2012) was a great day for me. I visited my expected place 'Kustia'; yes the city of 'Lalon Akara' and Robi Tagor's 'Kuthi Bari.
The journey started at 9.00 A.M. I was from my job station Chowmasi to Naogaon Sadar by my favorite motorcycle YAMAHA CRUX 106 CC. There I joined with my journey partners namely Hira Bhai, Haidar Bhai, Mr. Azad, Mr. Solaiman and Mr. Jahangir.
With them I was to Santahar by a baby taxi. We are in a cool mood. The taxi landed us at Santahar at about 10.00 A.M. We drew 6 standing tickets for us form Santahar Railway ticket counter. Then waiting for train. Luckily the train 'Rupsa' was not in his habit that day coz it reached at due time in the platform that was 10.30 A.M.
The train journey was enjoyable. Everyone was succeeded to manage their sit though there was standing ticket except me and Hira Bhai. We were not frustrated or bored we liked to enjoy that by moving ourselves from one edge to another part of the train. And at last we decided to sit at the door floor of the first compartment of the train. Oh, it was charming. We were in the door floor and our legs were in the stair of train's stair and limitless nature was in front of us. Well, there was in interruption coz the train was delayed at Iswardi Station for about 30 minutes to clear 'Moitri Express'; the train from Dhaka to Kolkata. Anyway, we were able to win our boring by smoking, taking tea- lively Cucumber, and flying expressing exchanging with that two cute girls.
Some time later of starting the train from Iswardi we was surprised when we discovered ourselves over the Harding Bridge; yes the biggest Rail Bridge of Bangladesh that is traditional also. Watching such a nice object by sitting at the floor of train's door was in a word amazing. We were soundless.
At nearly 1.15 P.M. we were at Veramara Rail Station. Yes Veramara coz there is no train from Santahar to Kustia. We took our sit at a bus to Kustia. Our bus driver was interesting. He liked to leave his sit and bus also at almost every station after stopping it. But came back with in short time, of course. But at one station that was nearly of his home may be, he came back by replacing his Lungi with trousers. But unbelievable patience at the passengers of course except us coz no one made any complain to the driver. We liked to make but situation was not in our favor. Moreover, the road was extremely foul. Noway to run a bus frequently. We determined in a decision that there is no representative of people at that area or the people of that area is not in habit to utilize the voting power. But after arriving at Kustia at nearly 2.30 P.M. we observed that we were wrong coz Mr. Mahabubul-Haque-Hanif, the vital leader of ruling party is the local leader of Kustia.
Hunger was then at our belly and head as well as. We searched out a restaurant and finished our late lunch. Finishing our lunch we hired a Charger (one kind of auto rickshaw) with the help of Badsha Bhai, the owner of that restaurant to 'Lalon Akhra' via Tagore's 'Kuthi Bari' which is known to local people as the 'Tagore Bari'. We really enjoyed the journey by Charger with our Half-Song singing. We were at Tagore's Kuthi Bari at about 4.00 P.M. It was thrilling. It seemed to me as unbelievable. Every corner of Kuthi Bari was visited by us carefully.
After about one hour visiting of Kuthi Bari we started to 'Lalon Akhra'. After arriving there, we felt unhappy coz our expectation broke. The Lalon Akhra was not as like as we had expected. There is administrative paw upon it and commercial also. We unable to discover real followers of Lalon at that premises. Just two followers at the giant premises was really poor to fulfill our expectation. They were also in the path to abolish. At last at the evening there was a little light at that deep dark when 'Ashor' was begun at a 'Akhra' with a different name. I forget name of that Akhra. There was no followers of Lalon, all were commercial and so-called 'Lalon Singer'. Anyway, we decided to leave Lalon's place at 8.00 P.M. with a Charger to the bus stand.
At 4.00 we returned with sea of sleep at our eyes by enjoying journey with Charger, Bus, Van and Train. I liked the journey and was really special to me, is really special to me, will be special to me.
